Sylvie Mbebe

Director-Founder

Sylvie Mbebe is the Director and Founder of AssistArc Foundation, a Mental Health Counsellor and Researcher with over a decade of experience in humanitarian, academic, and community-based mental health work. Fluent in English and French, she holds a Master’s degree in Research Psychology from Stellenbosch University and has served in diverse roles including counselling, supervision, women’s empowerment, and refugee support.

Her expertise spans trauma counselling, conflict management, community outreach, and the supervision of psychology students. Sylvie has worked as part of organisations such as the Adonis Musati Project, Trauma Centre for Survivors of Violence and Torture, supporting vulnerable groups including refugees, survivors of gender-based violence, and at-risk youth.

She is also a published researcher in the African Journal of AIDS Research and passionate about advocacy, education, and empowering communities through holistic psychosocial support.

Noellie Ulda Amatomba

Project  & Operational Manager

Noellie is an aspiring software engineer passionate about building technology that empowers education. She is the founder of a developing learning platform, a speaker and she serves as the project director and operational manager. With a strong skills in full-stack development, digital learning, and community empowerment, Noellie brings innovative, tech-forward solutions to our team.

Nomandla Ngoqo

Community Mapper/Facilitator

Nomandla is a robust and excellent team member with over 6 years experience as a facilitator working across sectors such as education and NPOs. She brings seasoned and well structured planning which are community centered to our team.

Josephine Muhigirwa Ciza

Volunteer

Josephine is a qualified Professional Nurse and Midwife with experience in hospitals, clinics, and community health projects across South Africa, Uganda, and Burundi. She is passionate about holistic care, women’s health, and palliative support. Fluent in English, French, Swahili, and Kirundi, Josephine is dedicated to serving diverse communities of women with compassion and excellence.
